Designing with context

A project is shaped by the conditions that already exist: orientation, climate, movement, vegetation, neighboring buildings, available materials, and the routines of the people who will use the space.

Rather than treating those conditions as a checklist, we use them as active design information. A shaded edge may become a threshold, an existing wall may become a reference point, and a view may determine where a room opens or closes.

The result is not a fixed style. It is an architectural response that belongs to its particular site.
